We carry out many refresher courses and it will be tailored to your needs. You may not have driven for a while and need that confidence boost to get you back driving, or feel that you will benefit by somebody taking a look at your driving and help you just tweak a couple of things.

All training will be be carried out in a relaxed, informative but highly professional manner and our coaching methods reflect this.

All coaching will be to a highly advanced standard and is based on the Police Driver's handbook Roadcraft which is used by RoPSA in all advanced driver training.

As we deliver training for other companies, they expect all trainers to have  have taken the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test and achieved gold standard. We are retested every three years to ensure that not only the highest standards are obtained, but maintained.  We also have to be DSA Fleet Registered trainers which is a higher standard than driving instructors. We also have adult teaching qualifications.

Some of the areas we can help you with.

  • Day to day local driving
  • Town and City driving
  • Confidence courses
  • Dual Carriageways and Motorways
  • Accident prevention
  • Identifying and dealing with hazards
  • Improved Fuel Savings and wear and tear on vehicle

What will be covered on the course.

1.Document Checks.                                                                                                                                                                                                    We will need to see the following, a valid driving licence. If you have the new style, I will need to see both paper and plastic parts. If old style need to see licence and valid passport. Your insurance policy and MOT certificate if applicable*. I will also check your eye sight to ensure it meets current legislation.

2.Vehicle Safety Checks.                                                                                                                                                                                         We will carry out some basic checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy, so you'll know what to check on a regular basis.

3.Initial Driving Assessment.                                                                                                                                                                                          We will the assess your driving for a period of time over a variety of different roads, looking at such things as following distance, speed control, dealing with junctions. During your drive we will be making notes on the driver.

4.Drive debrief.                                                                                                                                                                                                            We will then discuss the drive, both strengths and areas which need some attention and we will plan the training around this. We will then give advice and guidence.

5.Training Drive                                                                                                                                                                                                     We will then go out and put into practise what we have discussed, we will give you help and guidence throughout the drive and any other issues which may arise during the drive.

6. Debrief.                                                                                                        We will then spend some time discussing how the drive has gone and on the improvements made and identify any areas where improvements may still need to be made and make any further recommendations.

Depending on the length of  the training session we may then have a further driving session and then have a final debrief.

Though out the sessions we will be looking at how you drive to ensure you drive "Eco Friendly" the new word for fuel efficient driving and helping to reduce CO2 immissions.

By ensuring you are planning ahead and in the correct gear to match speed we need to deal with the situation we are encountering. Avoiding unecessary gear changes, harsh acceleration and braking, so you drive will be smoother and help save not only same money on fuel, but wear and tear on your vehicle.
